No — your dog comes home as themselves, just with better manners. Training builds confidence, it doesn't erase personality. The spunky, goofy, loving dog you dropped off is the same dog you pick up, they just listen now. This is the question we get most, and it's an easy one to answer.

Most of our programs require dogs to be at least 6 months old. The exception is our Puppy Program, which starts at 12 weeks — because the earlier you start, the better the foundation you build. There is no dog too old for any of our programs

Yes — that's exactly what our Behavior Modification program is built for. Dogs displaying aggression, reactivity, or severe anxiety aren't a lost cause, they just need the right approach. That program is where we start before any other training.

We use balanced training methods, which includes e-collars as one of several tools in our toolkit. E-collars are used thoughtfully and intentionally. In the right hands they're one of the most effective communication tools available, and every dog goes home with the knowledge to continue using them correctly.

We provide regular text, photo, and video updates throughout the stay so you're never left wondering. You'll see your dog's progress in real time — and we're always available if you have questions between updates.

Every graduate leaves with a 1.5 hour send-home lesson, 3 follow up sessions within the first year, lifetime phone and email support, and access to our alumni exclusive boarding and Adventure Club daycare. Graduation isn't the end — it's the beginning, and we don't disappear after it.

Nick has been working with dogs since 2017 and training professionally since 2019. He competes in French Ring — one of the most demanding dog sports in the world — where his dog Ippo won first place at the American National Championship at Level 2 in 2024 and is now titled at the highest level, Level 3. Nick is also a certified Level 3 decoy, one of only 3 people in the United States to hold that certification. In September 2026 he will travel to France to attempt his French Level 3 decoy certification — if earned, he will be the first American to do so. Beyond competing, Nick has mentored trainers who have gone on to build their own successful businesses and regularly consults with other professionals on their most difficult cases.
Nicole has been working with dogs since before 2017 and brings a background in psychology and anthropology — the science of how humans and animals think, learn, and communicate — to everything she does with dogs and their owners.Together they founded Chomps as a family-owned business built on continued education, honest communication, and a dog-first approach to every case that comes through the door.
